More X News The next arc for the Victor Gischler written X-Men title will be called “Serve and Protect” and will feature not only Chris Bachalo on pencils but Spider-Man as well.

About Time Move over Warren Ellis, Phil Jimenez and Kaare Andrews. Daniel Way and Jason Pearson will be taking over the Astonishing X-Men with their “Monsters” story arc coming to shelves soon. Way’s story begins with the X-Men attending a funeral in Japan. When horrified giant monsters begin coming ashore from nearby Monster Island, the team is forced to investigate. Their arrival on the island will bring them face to face with a villain they weren’t expecting.

Astonishing Cap! That’s right, following in the footsteps of the Astonishing X-Men, Captain America is getting a new title next summer, to coincide with the release of the movie next summer. Andy Diggle will provide the words, Adi Granov the art.

The Biggest Characters Godzilla is coming to comics, tiny little Japanese run for cover. And I am talking those scale people from the original movies Yo. The new title will debut in February. Check out the promotional art from Eric Powell.

I’m So Happy Yes, there is a new creative team coming to Supergirl beginning with issue #60 next year – Nick Spencer and Bernard Chang. Here’s keeping my fingers crossed.

I feel like this title is a conspiracy by Marvel to force it’s way onto the Spotlight each time it comes out because it does so infrequently. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a fun read I just don’t know if it is Spotlight worthy each time, however I feel I owe you faithful readers a reminder on the rare occasions it actually ships. You are welcome.

Final Crisis Legion of Three Worlds TP

This one has been over for awhile, but is finally getting the softcover treatment. It’s the new quintessential Legion story that resets and cleans up their universe. It’s a great read for longtime fans of the Legion, as well as a terrific jumping on point for those who want to get into the Legion. And don’t tell anyone, but it really does not have that much to do with Final Crisis.

Yes, this story has been available for years in trade, however here comes a new twist to the original five-issue mini-series, Lex Luthor: Man of Steel, new material plus sketch pages, and of course a very attractive hardcover display. Besides a bag of chips what else could you ask for?

Giving Back In an unprecedented move, DC Comics is changing the price of most of its monthly titles, REDUCING them from $3.99 back to $2.99 an issue. “… we listened to our fans and to our partners in the retail community who told us that a $3.99 price point for 32 pages was too expensive. Fans were becoming increasingly reluctant to sample new titles and long term fans were beginning to abandon titles and characters that they’d collected for years,” Dan DiDio said. Can a Marvel price change be far behind?

Age of X So you are sitting back thinking when is the next X-Men event coming to Brave New Worlds? Well, wonder no more as the Age of X comes this January. The logo is modeled to look similar to that of the Age of Apocalypse, but sadly no information about the even has been released besides the name.

Everybody Loves Zombies IDW comics is doing a license-crossover simply-titled “Infestation” beginning in January and running through books like Star Trek, G.I. Joe, Transformers and Ghostbusters to name a few. “Without giving too much away, I can say that we start in the IDW universe with a zombie outbreak of epic proportions. The threat is contained (or is it?), but not before it infests other realities – the realities of our licensed books,” Tom Waltz said.

Going Corporate That’s right, Bruce Wayne is incorporating his alter ego. Really? Well, we are not sure what to make of the new title Batman, Inc. coming in November, but wouldn’t be cool if Gordon Gecko was in charge of the new operation.

He’s back, even though the Return of Bruce Wayne mini-series has not concluded. But C’MON! It’s not like we all did not know how it would end. Anyhoo, Batman & Robin kicks off the fun. In Batgirl, this could be the end of Stephanie Brown’s reign, meanwhile Mike Barr returns to The Outsiders to show how Bruce’s return impact his former team. And then there was Tim Drake, the sole believer that Bruce was still out there, somewhere.
