Update on BNW operations

We’ve been hearing from a lot of you in the past week wondering how you can help Brave New Worlds through these times as a small local business.
We have decided that over the next couple of days we will be calling any customer that currently has anything on hold or an active comics subscription and asking if they would be willing to pay for their holds over the phone via credit card which will be held until a later date when the crisis is over. Diamond Comic distributors announced that there will be no new shipment of comics next week and most likely not for a while after that so this will be a one time call to action. We do not know at this time when new comics will resume shipping.

While the stores will remain closed we will have someone inside to answer the phones and emails from 10am until 5pm on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Please do not hesitate to call or email during those times to buy some comics over the phone and have them put aside safely for you.

Also, since ordering going forward is going to be very tight, if you have anything you would like to add to your holds to guarantee yourself a copy, feel free to email our contacts at either store listed below:

Due to the COVID-19 crisis both Brave New Worlds locations will now be available by appointment only until Friday March 27th.

Appointment hours will be Monday through Saturday from 11am to 7pm and Sunday from 11am to 6pm.

Someone will be at the shop during those times.

Please call the shops ahead of your visit to set up a time to pick up your comics and/or other items we sell.

We can bring the comics right to your car outside if you wish.

We will be working vigorously to keep the store incredibly clean in order to provide a safe spot to make your purchases. By moving to appointment shopping only we can also limit the amount of foot traffic in the store creating an even safer/healthier space.

If you for any reason cannot pick up your subscriptions or need new comics held for you until a later date please let us know and we will work with you as much as we possibly can.

If for any reason you feel that you or anyone in your family is sick please do not schedule a pickup during this crisis. We all have to do our part to try and help everyone get through this.
