April Willow Grove Book Discussion
Get your dancing shows ready because the date has been set (Saturday, April 24), the time has been penciled in (7 p.m.) and the next book in the Willow Grove Book Discussion has been selected.
Darwyn Cooke’s adaptation of Richard Stark’s Parker The Hunter will be the next book chewed up and spit out (so to speak) by our group of top notch critics.
Brave New Worlds Willow Grove has plenty of copies in stock, if you have not already picked up this classic tale of a man who hits New York head-on (because is there really any other way).
Granted he hits it head-on like a shotgun blast to the chest, he is betrayed by the woman he loved and to add insult to injury, he is double-crossed by his partner. Okay, at least his dog doesn’t leave him. Then again, he did not have a dog.
Even if you have not been to a Brave New Worlds book club discussion, now s the perfect time to come out and meet some people who like to talk about one of our favorite things in the world – the funnies, or comics.
Witness the RETURN!
For TWO NIGHTS ONLY, Old City’s own, Rob Lefevre will return to his Magician roots in Willow Grove as he’ll be running the Tueday 4/20 Magic Booster Draft and Thursday 4/22 Booster Draft! With Eric out of the country all WG MTG norms are going to be tossed out the door as Rob rules supreme. His word will be law, like that of Hammurabi, as he lays out suckas and takes names of those who think they can defeat him! So come test your skills against this true master of his craft!
Tuesday 4/20 @ 7:30pm in Willow Grove
Thursday 4/22 @ 7:30 in Willow Grove

Free Comic Book Day 2010 is almost here – Saturday, May 1. So the real question is, which Brave New Worlds location are you planning on attending for the day’s festivities?
Brave New Worlds Willow Grove

But wait, there’s more – the Zenescope Comics’ 2009 Girl of the Year and Runner-Up will both be in attendance dressed as DC Comics Zatanna and Marvel Comics Black Cat, respectively.
Plus, Brave New Worlds Willow Grove will also be hosting Warhammer 40k, Dungeons & Dragons and HeroClix demonstrations during the day.
And of course, we will also have a select group of free comic books available as well.
Brave New Worlds Old City
Check out the 501st Star Wars Legion of Stormtroopers, Spider-Man and the 8′ Zombie Hulk (cos-play that you gotta see!) along with local artists groups doing sketches all day long.
The Innernette Is Full of Good Things

Four Days of Magic @ Willow Grove
Brave New Worlds Willow Grove has added a fourth day to its successful Magic lineup, introducing Saturday Open EDH play, beginning Saturday, April 3 at Noon. For just $4 (which covers prizes), you and your friends can join other fans of the Elder Dragon Highlander (EDH) format with open game play.
This is a friendly environment with a style of play fostered, not to build the most broken combo deck possible that kills the entire table by turn 5-7. The point of EDH (besides winning) is that everyone have as much fun as possible. Insane combo decks is not what we want.
We will use standard EDH banned and restricted list, with the only addition being Rofellos, Zur and Iona. If a card proves to be too good, it may be added to the store banned list if it is continued to be used.
We will not use the Brittany Mulligan, rather each player will receive one free mulligan and then not have to paris.
Players are required to use the same deck for each pod on the same day, but may change decks from week to week.
For players who do not know about the format or have any questions, go to Dragon Highlander Rules.
