Out 2 Dry First Friday!

Posted by BRiAN On March - 3 - 2011

You may remember last year when we were left high and dry without a show for a First Friday and the Philadelphia Cartoonist Society stepped in and threw together a show for us…well we liked the formula and we are teaming up again!

The Philadelphia Cartoonist Society rules with an iron fist of awesomeness (that hand btw is also holding onto an hb pencil) and is making sure March rolls in like a lion this year with Out Two Dry!!!

We’ve teamed up with them in the past for the Children of the Watchmen tribute show, the Abraham Lincoln’s Birthday show and the precursor to tomorrow night’s show Out To Dry (as well as many other good times and gallery shows). Last year they bailed us outta a jam by coming up with the Out To Dry show and throwing it together in less than a week. The formula of cheap (i mean extremely affordable), loose, sketchy, doodle-y, fun and all around top tier work hung on the wall on clothes lines was such a genius one that we decided that they should do it again this year!

So go to the ATM and grab some extra cash (cash is way better for this show!) and come out and support some of the best comics and illustrators that Philadelphia has to offer…all in one place! Then as pieces sell and go to great and loving homes new pieces will replace them on the wall so be sure to stop back throughout the month of March!

  2. BradyDale Said,

This is a great bunch. They couldn’t be nicer. I used to draw with them down at Bob & Barbara’s when I first moved to Philadelphia, and they were super welcoming. They are also a super talented bunch, too, so it’s worth your while to go dig on this show! and buy art!
