Midnight Magic @ WG

On Friday, January 28 @ 12 a.m. (technically Saturday morning), Brave New Worlds Willow Grove will be holding a prerelease event for the next Magic set, Mirrodin Besieged. For just $30, you will receive six (6) packs to build your deck, plus a foil promo card (listed below, while supplies last). Prizes will be determined on the number of participants.

If you are not a regular Red Bull user and wish to wait to play at a normal time, Brave New Worlds Willow Grove will host a prerelease event on Sunday, January 30 at Noon. $30 for six packs plus a promotional foil card (listed below, supplies last). Prizes again will be determined on the number of participants.

And on Super Bowl Sunday, February 6 at Noon, Brave New Worlds Willow Grove will host the launch party. Thirty dollars, six packs and an all-different foil promotional card (listed below, while supplies last) will be released. Prizes again will be determined on the number of participants.

This time, competitors will be assigned factions for the prerelease event and will be given the promotional card based on the faction assigned – either Hero of Bladehold or Glissa, the Traitor.

The following week’s promo will be Thopter Assembly.

A God Somewhere – WG Book Discussion Dec. 11

It’s a tale that is as old as … well recently anyway with Heroes and so many other stories about what happens when a normal dude develops super powers (personally I think flying would be pretty cool).

Anyway, Arcudi (B.P.R.D.) is joined by Peter Snejbjerg, whose’s pencils bring a realism to this book that has been described as “inventive and powerful” (Jock) and “superb” (Denny O’Neil).

Superman: Earth One – Next WG Book Discussion

Brave New Worlds Willow Grove latest book discussion selection will be the soon-to-be-released Superman: Earth One on Saturday, November 13 @ 7 p.m. The book is scheduled to hit shelves on Wednesday, October 27. Make sure to reserve your copy today.

Brave New Worlds Willow Grove will be hosting a sealed deck event for the latest set, Scars of Mirrodin, this coming Sunday, October 3rd @ 12 noon. Thirty dollars ($30) will get you foil promo of Steel Hellkite and six sealed boosters from which to construct your deck . There will be Scars of Mirrodin booster packs for prizes and booster drafts will follow the event (time TBA).

WG Hosting Warhammer 40K Tournament

Brave New Worlds Willow Grove will host a Warhammer 40K Tournament on Saturday, September 4 beginning at 11 a.m. Cost is $15.00 per person and you must pre-register in order to play as space is limited. Spots will be filled on first-come, first-served basis, however you must pay the registration fee to lock up your spot. Contact Dave to pre-register, or with questions.

Army Limit 1,000 points.

Force Organization Chart 1-2 HQ, 2-6 Troops, 0-2 Elites, 0-2 Fast Attacks, 0-2 Heavy Support

Army lists must receive approval prior to the tournament, please e-mail a copy of your army roster for approval to Dave.  All rosters should be submitted no later than September 1.

As an added bonus, all participants will receive 10% off all Warhammer purchases at the store on September 4.
