This week I want to read Nemesis by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven (i think everyone else wants to as well) so I’ll just leave that be that…though there are 2 other books that I really wanna read tomorrow…click to check out which ones!
•Scalped #36: This book is one of my favorite comics that hits shelves monthly. The week this book comes out I always read it last, like pumpkin pie after a Thanksgiving turkey dinner, because I know there is no way I’ll like anything as much afterward. This month’s issue is in no way different. I will be reading this book last. Another reason I can’t wait to read it, and almost have to slog my way through all the other awesome comics out this week, is because it is about Shunka, Chief Red Crow’s enforcer and all around bad-ass. As this series continues to surprise and feel like it is nearing a halfway point , though I could be wrong, we know very little about Shunka and i can’t wait to see what Jason Aaron’s got up his sleeve with this one!
Scalped #36, Jason Aaron/Davide Furnò, $2.99, 32 pages, full color, Vertigo Comics
•Uncanny X-Men #522: I have been an on and off reader with the X-Men as of late, sometimes I like the art and I read it and sometimes I don’t like the art and don’t read it, but I am very excited for this issue due to the promises made waaaaaaaaaaay back here on this very site (psst there’s a trailer to watch there…maybe go click ‘n watch). Anyway how the heck is Matt Fraction going to save Kitty from that dreaded Space Bullet!?! I like what he’s done with the X-Men (what i’ve read anyways) so I have some faith in this issue. Needless to say I am excited to read it…and I even like the artist!
Uncanny X-Men #522, Matt Fraction/Whilce Portacio, $3.99, 32 pages, full color, Marvel Comics
Besides these 2 awesome comics coming out tomorrow we also just got a huge shipment of new books (both $12 Hardcovers and $10 Soft Covers) for our Deal Tables (in both locations!) so be sure to check them out tomorrow as well! (they aren’t all Marvel books as they’ve seemed to be in the past either!)
